Somatic Exercises for anxiety

Anxiety can pull us into our heads, disconnecting us from the present moment. Grounding helps you reestablish a connection with the earth and your body. How to do it: Stand on your feet flat on the ground. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Press your eyes feet into the floor, noticing the sensation of contact. Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the earth, anchoring you. Hold this visualization for 1-2 minutes, breathing deeply and slowly.
