How do I know if Courtney is a right fit for me?

All therapists have different approaches to working with clients. Courtney specializes in working with anxiety and helping women transform their lives through understanding their emotional reactions to life’s stressors. Courtney strongly believes each and every human has the answers within them and the body holds answers to questions the mind does not even know. If you are done running on the hamster wheel of no end, she is here to help you.

I’m nervous to try therapy, what will my first session be like?

Totally understandable and normal. If you have never done therapy before it makes sense that you would be nervous. In our first session together, we will go over the challenges you are facing in your life and the goals you want to get out of therapy. I will ask you questions about your history, current life stressors, and family situation to name a few. Overall, I will want a good idea of your situation and what brings you to therapy. Our fist session will look different then the following sessions because we will be going over your symptoms and needs more than implementing tools and tricks to manage and transform your current situation.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

Everyone has a different duration in therapy, and it is hard to know how long someone might need therapy. Some people experience immediate results and others need more time, this all depends on your reason for coming to therapy and how dedicated you are to the work and practice of implementing the skills learned in therapy. We can always adjust the cadence of your sessions to fit your schedule and financial situation. Lastly, therapy is not meant to be forever and with a good interactive therapist a lot can change in a short amount of time together. I am here to support you on your journey how over long or short that might be.
